Ever since eZBoard crashed and the again when they announced they were bringing in a new forum system called Yuku, the moderator team has discussed the possibilities of moving the board to a new site. However, we had various reasons to decide not to do this, but it was always on the table as a possible item. Moving the board from eZBoard to some other location simply wasn't a priority because, and lets be honest here, life consists of more than where the AFC forums are located. Plus, if worse came to worst, we could just close the AFC board and call it a day.

Still, with the introduction of JGZinv and FullGonzo as moderators, it was decided to take advantage of JGZinv's skills after doing some research on where the board could be moved to. Having made that decision, we took our time to try to get things right. We weren't going to be pressured to do anything we didn't feel like doing, nor to speed things along just to meet some arbitrary deadline.

That said, we've now completed work on the new board and this is the results. There were boards out there with more bells and whistles, but less secure. With this board, we hope to be more secure.

I know some of you think this is long overdue, but that didn't matter to us. People's complaints played no role in moving the forums. Indeed, the complaining made closing the boards a more attractive option. However, in the end, this is what we elected to do, and this we have done.
